Bach Flowers

Methods

Dr. Gil Alvarado, N.D., L.Ac., Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM) is a naturopathic physician and acupuncturist with over 35 years experience helping people improve their health.

In the 1920’s and 1930’s an English physician named Edward Bach developed a new method of helping people. This method came to be known as the “Bach Flower Remedies.” These remedies are made in a unique way that preserves very subtle properties of specific wild flowers.

Dr. Bach talked about the qualities of each flower and the way they could help people who were suffering or distressed. These remedies are prescribed according to a person’s mental and emotional state and tendencies. When prescribed properly they have been found to help not only people’s mental and emotional well-being, but by doing this they will often enhance people’s physical healing as well.

Dr. Gil corresponded with and learned from Nora Weeks when he was first studying the use of Dr. Bach’s Remedies. Nora was Dr. Bach’s assistant when he was discovering and developing this system of healing. She imparted a simple yet deep understanding of how to use these remedies effectively to help people get relief from their suffering.

Dr. Gil has been privileged to see countless people benefit from Dr. Bach’s flowers. When these remedies are called for they can dynamically and gently relieve people’s distress and open the door for a happier, healthier and more enjoyable life.
