Dr. Gil Alvarado, N.D., L.Ac., Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM) is a naturopathic physician and acupuncturist with over 35 years experience helping people improve their health.

Twenty years ago one of Dr. Gil’s patients brought him a video of a television show where a so called expert was telling people that what a person ate had no effect on their health and was irrelevant for their healing. Since this patient had already received so much benefit from the dietary help Dr. Gil had given her, she was stunned by the level of this “experts” ignorance.

Today most people are aware that diet has an effect on their health. Often people who come to Dr. Gil for care have previoiusly tried one or more approaches to improving their way of eating, but it either hasn’t helped them, or hasn’t helped them enough.

In the last fifty-plus years nutritional science has made many advancements. These advancements confirm the absolute necessity of properly prepared nutritionally rich foods and balanced meals. These advancements also conclusively demonstrate the benefits of specific nutrients for different conditions that people suffer from.
